Pick-MAX pick-to-light products will continue under the Lightning Pick brand.
Germantown, WI (August 21, 2015) – Lightning Pick, a Matthews Automation Solutions brand and the premier provider of pick-to-light and other light-directed technologies in North America, will now also offer Pick-MAX products as part of the Lightning Pick Solution Suite.
IPTI (Innovative Picking Technologies, Inc.) in Ixonia, WI was a sister company to Lightning Pick, both being part of Matthews Automation Solutions’ Fulfillment Systems brands. The Ixonia location and staff will continue sales, support and service of the popular Pick-MAX pick-to-light products under the Lightning Pick brand. This includes order picking carts which utilize Pick-MAX hardware. Lightning Pick’s Germantown location will remain the solution brand headquarters and continue development, sales, service and support of their pick-to-light, put-to-light, pack-to-light and other order picking products.
“Retiring the IPTI solution brand name was a difficult decision. We recognize their industry presence through a significant community of full Pick-MAX system end users plus numerous OEMs utilizing Pick-MAX hardware products in their own system solutions,” said Paul Jensen, division president of Matthews Automation Solutions. “That’s why we’re continuing the Pick-MAX product line. However, moving forward all-new pick-to-light systems will be driven by Lightning Pick software, which can now manage Pick-MAX lights along with Lightning Pick’s existing hardware catalog. This product re-alignment under one brand will streamline our market presence for new and current customers, plus our partners.”

Looking ahead, Lightning Pick customers will continue utilizing their usual contacts in Germantown, WI. Pick-MAX customers will continue working with their contacts in Ixonia, WI.
